Soak ada in hot water for 1/2 hour.then wash it in to cold water several times to avoid stickiness.
boil milk in uruli (heavy bottom vessel).add sugar and ada in to it,keep stirring continuously(approximately 30 minutes).continue boiling until ada cooked well and the color of milk changes to pale pink;
add cardamom powder and mix well.switch of the stove stir for few more minutes.
heat ghee in another pan fry cashew and raisin add this to palada payasam or add one teaspoon ghee.
The perfect consistency is that if you draw a line on the spoon it should not join.
