Pazham pori is a very popular, common and all time favorite snack of Malayalees. Its a very simple snack made with ripe plantain (nenthrapazham/ettapazham).This is a simple home made version,so the size is small and it is not like the restaurant style pazham pori.

It is my all time favorite teatime snack. The preparation is very simple ,thinly sliced plantain slices dipped in to the batter then deep fried in oil.

use ripe plantain for making banana fritters/pazham pori,You can use any oil for frying but i strongly suggest coconut oil, that makes this snack unique. So lets enjoy the crispy and sweet Kerala style pazham pori.

Thank you for your recipe on how to make banana fritters. Can you please specify whether the rice flour is the roasted type (like the type used for making puttu or iddiyappam) or just plain rice flour that is not roasted. Thanks FC
