Ingredients
- 1 cup kadala chickpea black /
- 2 nos onion
- 1 nos tomato
- 3 cloves garlic - 4
- 1 ginger piece chopped
- 1.1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 3/4 teaspoon chilly powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 pinchs garam masala
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- water

Instructions
- Soak kadala(black chana/chickpea) overnight.
- In a pressure cooker add cleaned kadala ,turmeric powder,chilly powder,coriander powder,salt and water.
- cook well and keep aside.
- in a pan heat oil add curry leaves,chopped ginger,garlic and thinly sliced onion,stir well until it becomes light brown.
- add chopped tomato,cook in a high flame until puree comes out.
- add the cooked kadala, stir well. cover with a lid and cook for few more minutes
- season with mustard, curry leaves and chopped shallots.
- serve hot with puttu or chapati.
