
a common north Kerala curry
Instructions
- clean papaya and cut in to small cubes .
- add papaya,turmeric ,chilly powder, salt and water in a pressure cooker.
- cover the pressure cooker and lock the lid, wait for 2-3 whistle to come.
- let the pressure release naturally.
- add coconut shallot and cumin seeds to a blender,make a smooth paste.
- mash cooked papayas well.
- add coconut paste in to cooked and smashed papaya , stir well and bring to boil.switch off the stove.
- heat oil in pan add mustard seeds when it splutter add chopped shallots red chilly pieces and curry leaves . fry for 2-3 minutes.
- add this in to the curry stir well
- cover with a lid
- serve warm with rice.
