Ingredients

teaspoon
coriander
powder

teaspoon
chilly
powder
1/4
teaspoon
turmeric
powder

pinchs
garam masala

curry leaves

Instructions
Soak kadala(black chana/chickpea) overnight.
In a pressure cooker add cleaned kadala ,turmeric powder,chilly powder,coriander powder,salt and water.
cook well and keep aside.
in a pan heat oil add curry leaves,chopped ginger,garlic and thinly sliced onion,stir well until it becomes light brown.
add chopped tomato,cook in a high flame until puree comes out.
add the cooked kadala, stir well. cover with a lid and cook for few more minutes
season with mustard, curry leaves and chopped shallots.
serve hot with puttu or chapati.
