  1. Wash bitter gourd and slice it open, remove the seed and pith.then slice it thinly and evenly.
  2. clean and chop shallots,slit green chili lengthwise.
  3. heat oil in a pan or cheena chutty and splutter mustard seeds,then add chopped shallots,saute until shallot become soft.
  4. then add turmeric powder and saute well. now add bitter guardand green chili,add salt and saute well.keep every thing in center of the pan and sprinkle few drops of water.
  5. cover with a lid and cook on a low flame(stir in between).once bitter gourd cooked well remove the lid and saute for 3-4 minutes.
  6. serve with rice.
