prawns balchao (prawns pickle)
The Goan style prawns pickle recipe adapted from Madyamam Ruchi.
vinagir table spoon
clean fresh prawns.remove shell and de vein it,wash well and keep aside
clean and wash dried prawns ,strain water completely and keep aside
marinate both prawns with 1/4 teaspoon chili powder and salt for 10 minutes.
deep fry both prawns separately and keep aside
in the same oil add thinly chopped onion,saute until it become golden brown, then add garlic paste, saute until raw smell goes.
then add chili powder,cumin powder and vinegar, saute well then add fried prawns .mix well and add 1/4 cup of lukewarm water,cook in high flame until the gravy become thick.check salt consistency.
switch of the stove.serve with rice.
