- 1 cup Soya chunks
- 2 nos onion
- 1 nos tomato
- handful coriander leaves a
- 3 nos green chili
- 3 tablespoons coconut slices
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 11/2 teaspoons coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
- 4 teaspoons turmeric powder1 /
- 1 1/2 cups coconut grated
- 5 nos shallot
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- salt
- oil

Instructions
- soaksoya chunks in hot water for 30 minutes.squeeze out water and keep aside.
- clean and thinly slice onion,cut tomato in to medium size pieces.cut green chili length wise,chop shallots and garlic.keep all this aside.
- heat oil in a pan add curry leaves and saute well .then add thinly sliced onion,saute for few minutes then add coconut slices.saute until onion become light brown.
- then add all powders in to it, saute until raw smell goes.then add soya chunks and tomato.saute few seconds then add green chili,water and salt.cook well.
- mean while in another pan heat oil ,then add grated coconut ,shallots and garlic,saute well until coconut turns to golden brown.transfer this to a bowl let it cool.
- then add this to a processor and add 2-3 teaspoon water. grind well and make a fine paste.add this to the cooked soya chunks along with little water.(mix the grounded paste with little water and add this to the soya chunks).let it boil well.cook till the gravy become thick.
- heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds,let it splutter,then add curry leaves and chopped shallots.fry it and pour to the soya chunks masala.
- garnish with coriander leaves.serve hot with chapati.

Hi, have a doubt regarding the no of shallots to be used for the paste. shallots are used in three instances in the recipe but only once in the ingredients. Kindly clarify.
