Ingredients
- 500 g king fish pomfret / cut in to thick cubes
- 1 onion small
- 3 green chilli
- 1 ginger piece small chopped
- 1 nos tomato
- 3 - 4 mango - slices
- 2 tbsps chilli powder
- 2 pinchs turmeric
- 1.1/2 cups coconut milk
- 4 - 5 shallot
- 3 pinchs fenugreek
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- salt

Instructions
- clean fish and cut in to medium size cubes.peel mango and make 3-4 long slices
- cut onion in to thin slices.cut tomato in to long pieces.
- chop ginger and shallots.split green chili length wise.
- heat oil in a fish curry pot(mud vessel).add curry leaves .thinly sliced onion and chopped ginger.saute well till onion becomes soft.add tomato ,saute well .
- add chilly powder and turmeric saute till the oil comes up.
- add sliced mangoes and saute for few minutes in a low medium flame.
- add 1/2 of the coconut milk.
- when it starts boiling add fish pieces.
- cover with a lid and cook in a low medium flame.
- swirl the pot occasionally.
- once 3/4 of the fish cooked add the remaining coconut milk.swirl the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- switch off the stove.
- heat oil in another pan splutter fenugreek,then add curry leaves and chopped shallots.saute till shallot becomes brown
- switch off the stove and add this to the fish curry.
- cover with a lid.
- serve with rice or chapati.
